Nanette Lepore Swimwear - One of My New Favorite Labels for 2011

It's been a crazy couple of weeks and I apologize for not posting for awhile.  I've seen about 20 lines in the last 2 weeks and I have to say that there were a couple of collections that really stood out.  Nanette Lepore Swim was one of them.  Due to this economy, we couldn't help but see a sea of rehashes, old styles with new colorways, less luxe fabrics and findings and slimmer lookbooks in this season's collections.  It was certainly understandable.  But, Nanette Lepore Swimwear was surprisingly fresh and new and the quality was certainly there.  Many of her collection pieces were done a combination of vivid, rich color paired with black, which made everything stand out.  Her cover-ups really caught my eye...so cute and... get this...AFFORDABLE! 

Miss Lepore is certainly not new to the world of fashion.  Based out of NYC, her women's clothing line has a well heeled following and is now available worldwide.  She's also recently launched a new signature fragrance and is currently working on a new, shoe line.  Her dive into swimwear design just adds more punch to her repertoire and we don't mind that...not one bit.
